Sharpening services

If you are not satisfied with the edge on any blade I sharpened, contact me within 14 days of the service and I will re-sharpen it at no charge. If a second attempt still does not meet your expectations, I will refund the amount you paid for that blade in full.

Because sharpening is a service performed on your own blades, it cannot be returned once completed. Refunds for completed sharpening are issued under the guarantee above.

Blade repair and restoration work is quoted after inspection and confirmed with you before any work begins. Once you approve the quote and the work is performed, that work is not refundable, though the re-sharpening guarantee above still applies.

Cutting boards and other products

You may return an unused cutting board within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price. The board must be in original, unused condition: no cuts, no oiling, no water damage, no odors.

To start a return, email info@boardandsharp.com or text 914-515-6711 with your order number. I will confirm the return address. Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the item arrived damaged or was not what you ordered.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of my receiving and inspecting the returned item. Original shipping charges and trip fees are not refundable.

Custom and made-to-order work

Custom cutting boards, engraved pieces and other made-to-order items are produced specifically for you and are not returnable or refundable once production has begun. Before I start, I confirm dimensions, wood species and any engraving with you in writing. If a custom piece arrives damaged or does not match what we agreed, I will repair or remake it at no cost to you.

Damaged or incorrect items

Inspect your order when it arrives. If anything is damaged, defective or incorrect, contact me within 7 days with photos and I will replace the item or refund it in full, including shipping.

Cancellations

You can cancel a sharpening appointment at any time before I arrive, at no charge. Orders for boards can be cancelled for a full refund before they ship. Custom orders can be cancelled for a full refund before production begins.
